Dan DeRose - President 

Dan sees leading the Mazza team as more than just his job – it’s his life’s passion. As President, he drives the core values of this decades-old family business – integrity, customer service, employee development and safety.

Growing up in the business, he possesses a deep respect for Mazza’s customers and employees, as well as the industry. Dan started full-time with Mazza in 1992 and was named President in 1994. Under his leadership, Mazza’s employee force and business has grown exponentially.  

Customers and employees alike play a vital role in the Mazza team. Dan seeks daily to engage customers in more meaningful ways to not just meet but exceed their expectations, and foster a culture in which employees feel they don’t have to come to work but they want to come to work.

He is a strong community stakeholder, taking time to help develop the future workforce by participating in advisory councils with local trade schools.

 

Ledgie DeRose - Vice President

As Vice President, Ledgie works each day to further Mazza’s mission. He oversees the service department and sees it as an extension of his core beliefs. These beliefs begin with establishing a very customer-centered atmosphere where the goal is to do what it takes to satisfy each customer’s needs, each day.

When not spending time building customer partnerships he is focused on helping new technicians build their career. He believes strongly in guiding, developing and empowering each Mazza employee in an effort to help them reach their potential and exceed their goals.

Ledgie also came up in the business, working in many roles as early as his teen years. He moved into the role of Vice President after his father Joe’s passing in 1994.

Ledgie takes an active role in community organizations and lends his expertise to advisory councils with area trade schools.

 


Steve Scribner - CPA, CFO

Steven joined Mazza in 2010 as the controller and became chief financial officer in 2017.

As part of the management team, Steven is instrumental in helping create and meet annual operational budgets and forecasts. He is responsible for maintaining accounting records and providing treasury management services.

His deep understanding of corporate finance and accounting gives Mazza the guidance needed to help support the company’s growthand operate efficiently.

In addition to his financial acumen, Steven is relied upon daily as the company’s IT administrator.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSCPA) and the Construction Financial Management Association (CFMA).

 


Scott Puller, Director of Development and Human Resources

A mechanical engineer by training and by trade, Scott joined Mazza as a project manager in 2008 following twenty years of work in various manufacturing environments. During the seven years of project management work with Mazza, Scott developed into the company’s resident safety leader. By virtue of his past work and unique perspective on job safety and quality, Scott has launched into a new career of Human Resources and Safety for Mazza

As Mazza’s Director of Development and HR, Scott strives to instill Mazza’s employees with a passionate commitment for achieving complete Safety, Quality and Customer Satisfaction. Recognizing that our employees are our most valuable asset for success, he is dedicated to the development of training and processes that bring continuous professional and personal growth for each individual.

Scott is an associate member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), and a GBCI-LEED Accredited Professional. He’s also a member of the Olean Area Human Resources Association.

 


Mark Voorhees, Director of Project Operations                                             

Being highly focused and process oriented makes Mark ideally suited to lead the Project Operations team. Striving for operational excellence to better serve Mazza’s customers is the team’s objective, and Mark’s focus and determination are the drivers

With decades of construction experience under his belt, Mark came to Mazza in 2015 to lead the project team. He is a GBCI-LEED Accredited Professional with OSHA 10 certification in Construction Safety and Health.

To Mark, it’s all about getting the most from his people and the company’s resources to meet customers’ needs. He understands that staying on budget and delivering a quality project on time foremost in customers’ minds, and he uses that wisdom to set the tone for the department.

 

 

 

Peter Mack, General Manager of the Service Division  

When Peter started with Mazza in 2017 he brought with him strong energy and passion to create an environment in which customers know they’ve joined a winning team when working with Mazza. He has shared that passion with his team to create a high-quality customer experience. Peter points to his early years working in a Pennsylvania oil refinery for having fueled his work ethic and excitement for business. His many years working in the electrical contracting field is where he became well versed in customer development, project management and sales. His strength lies in assessing customer needs and providing solutions that meet their service goals.

Peter is an active member of the Buffalo Niagara Manufacturing Alliance and the Greater Buffalo BOMA. He is also a part of the Management and Leadership Advisory Committee at Medaille College in Buffalo, where he is a clinical adjunct professor.

 

 

 

Mike Hinman, Sales Manager and Sales Engineer

Developing customer relationships is paramount to Mike. Since starting with Mazza in 2003, he has been driven to establish deep trust with his customers and become an extension of their team.

Mike specializes in strategic capital planning and design-build/negotiated work with a focus on industrial, medical and institutional markets. His forte is helping Mazza’s customers optimize energy efficiency while minimizing their operational costs.

His 30 years of experience and passion to support his customers are what makes him successful in designing a project solution that fits customers’ needs and aligns with their goals.
