Bring the outdoors in: The energy-efficient method for using 100% outdoor air in buildings

Purdue University engineers have proposed a system that integrates specialized membranes into HVAC systems to reduce the energy required to dehumidify outside air. Large buildings could reduce their energy costs up to 66% with such systems.
